  1. If you decide to print them at home, you should make sure that your printer and the paper you are printing on is good quality, otherwise your cards will come out looking cheap. Buy small quantities of business card paper to test it out first to see if it looks right. Usually it is worth spending the extra couple dollars so that the cards come out looking nicer.

    If you can afford it, you can take your design to a printer and they will print it for you, yet you save the design fees they would normally charge for custom card. That way you get the benefit of saving some money, getting professional printing, and having more control of the design.
