I think that the best thing it to have some balance, because on one hand, if you are too sanitized, you do not stand out and no one will remember you, but on the other hand, if you are too wild and freaky or outspoken on sensitive topics, you could lose business that way was well. Ideally you should present yourself authentically while at the same time avoiding publicly talking about sensitive issues that could potentially alienate your customers.
